DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monthly, quarterly and annual cost analysis and reporting.

Regional Sales Manager Retail (Home based, Southern CA or Southern AZ)

 

BASIC RESPONSIBILITY: Implement sales & marketing programs to achieve NORPAC’S corporate distribution, profit and volume goals while aggressively expanding brand distribution and in-store positioning in the markets of responsibility. Focus on progressive sales strategies to further drive market share in area of responsibility. Work with broker network to achieve established goals and objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Generate profitable sales by selling solutions that meet the customer’s needs.
  2. Manage the opportunity pipeline effectively, identifying the biggest and most likely opportunities in the territory and spending time disproportionally against them.
  3. Establish in conjunction with the Director of Retail Sales annual sales volume goals and targets to specific accounts and markets of responsibility.

Director of Quality and Food Safety - Salem, OR

WHAT WILL THIS POSITION DO?

The position provides company-wide leadership and direction for all quality assurance and food safety functions. The Director interfaces and directs, advises, and supports existing Quality and Food Safety staff to ensure food safety for all products, growers and facilities. The role will have full contact with customers and manage governmental and third-party audit programs. Directs Customer Service and advises Consumer Affairs on complaints or technical question.      

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for all quality and food safety functions at all NORPAC Foods production facilities and warehouses.
  • Champion quality and food safety initiatives to monitor and document product, facility and worker compliance.
  • Monitor compliance with FSMA rules and regulations on domestic and imported product.
  • Ensure plant audit corrective action plans are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Organize food safety training lessons for new company procedures and reinforce the existing procedures throughout the company.
  • Interface with all regulatory agencies and customers insuring optimum support.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.S. Degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or related discipline required; advanced degree (MS, PhD) preferred.
  • Previous experience in Quality Assurance/Food Safety within a fresh food processing environment is preferred.

Customer Service Representative - Salem, OR

PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION: Align all the components of the sales process to deliver a seamless experience for our brokers and customers. This position is the main contact for domestic brokers and customers within the sales process. Responsibilities involve facilitating the sales process from beginning to end and providing excellent service to our accounts and internal personnel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

MANAGEMENT OF THE SALES PROCESS

  • Form trustworthy and dependable relationships with account contacts and RSMs.
  • Enter and/or release orders and confirm order details with account contact.
  • Review availability of product to ship. Work with inventory and purchasing on shortages to maximize shipments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Provide leadership to support all packaging and process staff and systems to meet USDA & FDA standards in a high speed, high volume packaged foods environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.S in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, electrical engineering or food science strongly preferred; however, equivalent experience with a business degree is also acceptable.

  • Experience in food or dairy processing is highly preferred.
  • Experience in high speed packaging and processing is preferred.
  • Experience with small-scale waste treatment is highly advantageous.
  • Experience with Clean-in-Place, pasteurization/sterilization methods, and Ready-to-Eat environments are preferred.
  • Detailed knowledge of USDA/FDA regulatory requirements and design practices, BRC Standards, OSHA, GMPs, and related regulations.

Claims Manager - Salem, OR

 

BASIC RESPONSIBILITY: The Claims Manager will be responsible for managing our self-insured, self-administered workers’ compensation program in Oregon and Washington. This is a position which includes carrying a case load of difficult cases, supervising one to two adjusters, working with injured workers, jurisdictional bodies in both states, plant human resources managers, physicians and attorneys. You will also work with our insurance broker in the property and casualty insurance renewal process and provide assistance in the ongoing insurance needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process Oregon and Washington workers’ compensation claims including determining compensability, benefits due, reserve accuracy, and providing required documentation to Oregon and Washington state jurisdictions.
  • Deliver expertise and guidance in the processing of Oregon and Washington workers’ compensation claims to internal claims adjusters, plant human resources managers and the Vice President of Human Resources.
  • Supervise internal claims adjusters, including accuracy of claims processing, reporting and monitoring all settlements.
  • Represent NORPAC to the unions, physicians and attorneys as a fair and concerned employer.
  • Develop and communicate action plans for claims resolution. Coordinate return to work issues.

  • Create proformas to evaluate bids, price lists, trade spending requests and company-wide pricing. Utilize cost sheets, margin reports and sales history to create the spreadsheets.
  • Regularly review sales forecast against actual sales for all business channels. Report any discrepancies for further review.
  • Work with Cost Accounting, Production, and Packaging to assemble information for evaluating cost/bid requests.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Cash Administrator - Salem, OR

JOB PURPOSE: Monitor and manage, on a daily basis, all cash processed through NORPAC.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Balance accounts by collecting bank data, lockbox data, and deposit data. Manage company credit cards. Manage/reconcile grower/employee product orders.
  • Verify domestic and letter of credit wires for export sales.
  • Review and monitor the cash management system and lock box network for cash collections and the controlled disbursing network for cash disbursements.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITY

To perform quality assurance analysis on a wide range of frozen fruits, vegetables, and specialty foods.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITY: To manage & develop new and existing products within the territory. Ensure that mutually established goals/objectives are met within the broker network.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Establish in conjunction with the Director of Foodservice annual sales volume goals and targets to specific accounts.
  2. Assist broker representatives in each defined market in conducting sales calls and developing and growing customer sales.
  3. Provide brokers with specific training of existing products and new products as they unfold with literature, technical information, and presentations.
  4. Establish annual sales goals and review broker performance at least quarterly, taking necessary action to reach desired sales goals.
  5. Recommend price adjustments in light of competitive trends within assigned markets.
  6. Assist NORPAC credit department in the enforcement of credit policies.
  7. Resolve in-house, warehouse and broker issues relative to all facets of sales, delivery, and payment for products within assigned markets.
  8. Analyze sales and product trends within the market and recommend marketing and sales strategies based on syndicated data and/or SWOT analysis.
  9. Provide the Director of Foodservice with vital information concerning competitive new products, competitive pricing/promotions, and sales forecasts.
  10. Communicate status and results of sales calls on a timely basis.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent college degree preferred or a minimum of three years Sales Management experience.
  2. Ability to manage effectively a broker network.
  3. Ability to work effectively with internal office personnel.
  4. Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  5. Ability to develop creative promotional programs within company parameters which meet individual customer needs to enhance growth of the business base.
