NORPAC Foods, Inc., a farmer-owned cooperative founded in 1924, processes frozen vegetables and fruit, along with canning vegetables. Headquartered in Salem, Oregon, NORPAC is Oregon’s largest fruit and vegetable processor and has 3 processing facilities in the Willamette Valley, along with a subsidiary Hermiston Foods, LLC in Hermiston, Oregon and a subsidiary Quincy Foods, LLC in Quincy, Washington. Shift Supervisor - Quincy, WA

 

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Achieve and maintain an optimum flow of production through the facility while minimizing downtime.
  • Achieve and maintain production quality standards.
  • Coordinate facility objectives and activities with other department supervisors to ensure overall an orderly and efficient operation.
  • Assign responsibilities to department and line supervisors.
  • Assign and supervise adjustments and repairs to the equipment.
  • Instruct subordinates about safe and efficient work habits, monitor their performance to ensure that safety and other Company policies have been communicated to the personnel of the department and are being practiced.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records and reports.
  • Perform other tasks that are necessary to accomplish department objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • College degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with food processing equipment helpful.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Thorough knowledge of all food processing equipment used in the facility helpful.
  • Ability to operate, maintain and repair food processing equipment.
  • High level of communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to supervise and direct multiple employees in a fast-paced processing environment.

Customer Service Representative - Salem, OR

 

PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION: Align all the components of the sales process to deliver a seamless experience for our brokers and customers. This position is the main contact for domestic brokers and customers within the sales process. Responsibilities involve facilitating the sales process from beginning to end and providing excellent service to our accounts and internal personnel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: MANAGEMENT OF THE SALES PROCESS

  • Form trustworthy and dependable relationships with Brokers and RSMs.
  • Enter and/or release orders and confirm order details.
  • Review availability of product to ship. Work with inventory, purchasing and warehouses on shortages to maximize shipments.
  • Provide timely communications on missing pricing.
  • Provide timely communications and follow-up on account requests.
  • Adhere to organizational procedures and policies attaining to the sales process.
  • Participate in training and testing on new ERP and EDI systems.

  • COORDINATE EFFORTS OF INTERNAL ORGANIZATION TO MEET ACCOUNT REQUIREMENTS

Maintenance Manager - Quincy, WA

 

NATURE AND SCOPE: Direct and manage all phases of production maintenance, including: budgeting, equipment maintenance, fabrication & machine work, installation of new equipment, inventory control, employee scheduling, job assignments, building maintenance, employee training, and plant safety training.

  • Make certain that preventative maintenance is performed on all plant equipment appropriately and in a timely fashion, and that all maintenance is performed in a manner that is safe and complies with food safety guidelines. Train employees in this area.
  • Develop long-range goals to meet plant and corporate objectives.
  • Make certain that all fabrication, construction, installation, and machine work is done properly and in a manner that is safe and meets budget.
  • Assist the plant manager in developing an annual operating budget and manage departmental activities to meet the approved budget.
  • Diagnose equipment problems and recommend and/or undertake corrective action.
  • Requisition parts, materials, and supplies as required.
  • Maintain accurate records as required and manage all permit applications and regulatory reporting in a timely manner.
  • Maintain safe and sanitary work area.
  • Train all employees under your supervision in all phases of Quincy Foods’ safety program and company policies.

Help Desk Specialist - Brooks, OR

BASIC RESPONSIBILITY: Provide telephone support and assistance on a variety of computing questions and problems including the use of personal computers and related software, accessing the Company’s UNIX applications, printing, and the NORPAC data communication network.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive, document, and track all Information Systems problems as they are reported. In this process technical information (the problem, type, severity, probable cause or problematic symptoms) must be determined and communicated effectively and timely.
  • Resolve first level problems. Problems of this nature cover a broad spectrum of technology (ranging from micro computing, log on procedures, printing issues, and specific system application questions).
  • Provide general Information Systems and micro computing telephone support and assistance concerning a variety of general questions from micro computing to UNIX computer system applications.

Quality Assurance Supervisor – Day Shift and Swing Shift (2 open positions) - Quincy, WA

BASIC RESPONSIBILITY:

  • To assist the Quality Assurance Manager in the planning, implementation, and oversight of all Quality Assurance related functions in all phases of plant operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform routine quality audits of multiple repackaging line production activities.
