NORPAC Foods, Inc., a farmer-owned cooperative founded in 1924, processes frozen vegetables and fruit, along with canning vegetables. Headquartered in Salem, Oregon, NORPAC is Oregon’s largest fruit and vegetable processor and has 3 processing facilities in the Willamette Valley, along with a subsidiary Hermiston Foods, LLC in Hermiston, Oregon and a subsidiary Quincy Foods, LLC in Quincy, Washington. Cost Accountant

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monthly, quarterly and annual cost analysis and reporting.
  • Analyze product profitability and trends.
  • Review and preparation of sales cost projections.
  • Maintain inventory valuation.
  • Support of annual budget process.
  • Complete statistical surveys.
  • Support other accounting projects as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or business with emphasis in accounting, or equivalent experience.
  • Cost accounting experience helpful, but not required.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), with understanding of Access desirable.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi task, and work independently with minimum direction.

Customer Service Team Lead

BASIC RESPONSIBILITY: Department resource for the CSRs on preparing customer orders, dealing with customer issues, handling pricing discrepancies, and other customer service circumstances. Provide on-going training to CSRs on current and new systems.  Gain knowledge of all sales channels (Retail, Food Service, Chain, Export, Club, and Industrial) in regards to CSR duties.  Work with and assist Customer Service Manager.  Maintain own desk of accounts in preparing orders, building relationships internally and externally, and serving as a liaison with customers relative to product availability, pricing, ship dates, and overall status of orders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist CSRs on orders, issues, problems, etc.
  • On-going training of CSRs on systems.
  • Back-up for CSR desk when out of office.
  • Back-up for Pricing Coordinator and provide assistance when needed.

Customer Service Representative

 

BASIC RESPONSIBILITY: Prepare customer orders and take appropriate action interacting with other functions within organization to satisfy order requirements.  Serve as a liaison with customers relative to product availability, pricing, ship dates, and general status of orders. Monitor purchase and sales activity and provide sales support relative to frozen products.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive and process customer orders and review all information used to initiate and manage order preparation, confirmations, delivery, and invoicing.
  • Confirm order details with brokers and/or customers to include pricing, promotional allowances, mode of shipment, delivery dates, and quantities available. Provide Logistics Department with packing, loading, shipping instructions. Monitor orders.
  • Maintain electronic and paper files according to company policies.
  • Manage customer price lists as it relates to specific customer orders; resolve pricing discrepancies.
  • Research and resolve payment/invoice discrepancies when necessary.
  • Research and resolve mis-ship and short ship issues.
  • Assist Regional Sales Managers as needed.

Logistics Coordinator

BASIC RESPONSIBILITY: Arrange for the transportation of outbound product to NORPAC customers and warehouses in the Midwest, Southwest, Southeast and California regions of the United States and Mexico. Arrange for the transportation of inbound product to NORPAC facilities and warehouses from the Midwest, Southwest, Southeast and California regions of the United States and Mexico.  Work with packers, warehouse personnel, truck lines and NORPAC staff to provide efficient shipping procedures.  Maintain thorough documentation of all dispatches and shipment monitoring.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Check orders for accuracy in routing instructions, freight terms and weights.
  • Dispatch full outbound and inbound truckloads to approved carriers.
  • Pool partial outbound orders together into truckloads for dispatch.
  • Create Master Shipping Instruction forms for dispatching outbound pool shipments.
  • Dispatch partial orders as LTL that do not work into pool shipments.
  • Distribute Shipping Masters to truck lines, warehouses, appropriate Sales Service Representatives and NORPAC Accounting and Claims departments.
  • Provide revised master shipping instructions to all parties when changes are made to the original master.
  • Work with carriers, warehouses and customers to meet shipping and delivery needs.
  • Follow up with carriers to insure they have dispatches and that loading and unloading appointments are set.
  • Resolve any problems related to pick-ups and deliveries, track problem shipments and keep Sales Service staff advised of any delays.
  • Keep a written log of shipments and maintain a weekly load tally on each carrier.

Regional Sales Manager Retail (Home based, Southern CA or Southern AZ)

BASIC RESPONSIBILITY: Implement sales & marketing programs to achieve NORPAC’S corporate distribution, profit and volume goals while aggressively expanding brand distribution and in-store positioning in the markets of responsibility. Focus on progressive sales strategies to further drive market share in area of responsibility. Work with broker network to achieve established goals and objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Generate profitable sales by selling solutions that meet the customer’s needs.
  2. Manage the opportunity pipeline effectively, identifying the biggest and most likely opportunities in the territory and spending time disproportionally against them.
  3. Establish in conjunction with the Director of Retail Sales annual sales volume goals and targets to specific accounts and markets of responsibility.
  4. Develop and present market level business plans and incentive programs to regional brokers, distributors, and retailers.
  5. Perform market level business reviews with customers as needed.
