NORPAC Foods, Inc., a farmer-owned cooperative founded in 1924, processes frozen vegetables and fruit, along with canning vegetables. Headquartered in Salem, Oregon, NORPAC is Oregon’s largest fruit and vegetable processor and has 3 processing facilities in the Willamette Valley, along with a subsidiary Hermiston Foods, LLC in Hermiston, Oregon and a subsidiary Quincy Foods, LLC in Quincy, Washington. Accounts Payable Clerk

BASIC RESPONSIBILITY: Perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the processing of accounts payable transactions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepare invoices for payment.
• Maintain and balance A/P logs weekly.
• Print, process, and mail checks.
• Research and answers questions from vendors and other departments.
• Maintain A/P data entry.
• Maintain 1099 information.
• Prepare special request checks.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
• Accounts Payable experience preferred.
• Accounting skills, 10 key, and computer skills.
• Ability to work well with people in a professional and confidential manner.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Able to solve problems and meet deadlines.
• Good organizational skills.

Corporate Receptionist/Mailroom Clerk

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Operate the switchboard and forward messages.
• Perform receptionist duties to include greeting visitors, vendors, and assisting with tour preparation.
• Handle incoming/outgoing US mail, outside courier shipments (e.g. FedEx, UPS) and internal mail distribution.
• Pick up and/or drop off mail at the USPS in Salem.
• Perform administrative/clerical duties for other departments as time permits.

Accounting Services Representative/Invoicing

JOB TITLE:                                      Accounting Services Representative/Invoicing     

REPORTS TO:                     Accounting Services Manager

LOCATION:                                     Salem, Oregon (Corporate Headquarters)                    

CLASSIFICATION:            Salaried, Non-Exempt; Pay Level 6           

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Compute, review & audit math computations on sales orders for general ledger entries making adjustments as needed prior to invoicing.
  2. Organize and match shipping confirmations to sales orders verifying quantities for discrepancies against the orders.
  3. Prepare invoices for customer mailing and audit EDI invoice transmissions.
  4. Extensive use of a computer for data entry and inquiry.
  5. Organize, reference, match and research invoicing proof documents and detail customer/broker information used in invoicing.
  6. Receive and respond to frequent packer, sales office, broker, customer and warehouse personnel through phone calls, e-mail, and written inquiries concerning invoices and their proof documents.
  7. Prepare additional documents required by certain customers that relate to invoicing.
  8. Prepare credit memos and adjustments relating to all facets of invoicing.
  9. Respond to and complete additional tasks as needed within the department & assigned by the manager.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Applicants must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent skill and experience.
  1. Computer skills to include Word, Excel.  10 key by touch.
  2. Basic accounting knowledge a plus.
  3. Good organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Proficient math skills.
  4. High level of clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  5. Ability to prioritize, multi task, and work independently with minimum direction. Self-starter with good analytical and problem solving skills.
  6. Ability to work at a computer terminal most of the day.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monthly, quarterly and annual cost analysis and reporting.
  • Analyze product profitability and trends.
  • Review and preparation of sales cost projections.
  • Maintain inventory valuation.

Customer Service Team Lead

BASIC RESPONSIBILITY: Department resource for the CSRs on preparing customer orders, dealing with customer issues, handling pricing discrepancies, and other customer service circumstances. Provide on-going training to CSRs on current and new systems.  Gain knowledge of all sales channels (Retail, Food Service, Chain, Export, Club, and Industrial) in regards to CSR duties.  Work with and assist Customer Service Manager.  Maintain own desk of accounts in preparing orders, building relationships internally and externally, and serving as a liaison with customers relative to product availability, pricing, ship dates, and overall status of orders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist CSRs on orders, issues, problems, etc.
  • On-going training of CSRs on systems.
  • Back-up for CSR desk when out of office.
  • Back-up for Pricing Coordinator and provide assistance when needed.
  • Receive and process customer orders from order entry to ship.
  • Manage order details with brokers and/or customers to include pricing, promotional allowances, mode of shipment, delivery dates, quantities available, and logistics.
  • Maintain electronic and paper files according to company policies.
  • Research and resolve payment/invoice discrepancies, mis-ships and short ships issues.
  • Work with Regional Sales Managers as needed.
